Alexis + Carson
As the sun dipped below the wide, open skies of Eastland County, Texas, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Alexis and Carson's engagement session at my family’s ranch. Their December wedding is just around the corner, and it was so special to document this beautiful chapter of their love story in such a personal setting.
From the moment I met Alexis and Carson, it was clear that their love runs deep. The way Carson looks at Alexis, full of admiration and joy, and the way she lights up in his presence is something truly special. Every glance they shared during the shoot was filled with warmth, a testament to their bond and the life they’re building together.
The ranch served as the perfect backdrop for their session. Nestled in the heart of Eastland County, the land holds memories for me, and it was wonderful to create new ones with Alexis and Carson. We started the shoot under the shade of some beautiful oak trees, with the soft breeze, swaying the Johnson grass so elegantly. Alexis, in a flowy white dress with her boots, and Carson, in his classic cowboy boots and hat, brought the most charming western vibes. Every photo felt timeless.
One of my favorite moments was capturing them as they laughed and held each other close and danced to one of their favorite George Strait songs. They talked about their excitement for their December wedding and it was so sweet to see how deeply in tune they are with one another.
As the golden hour light poured over the hills, the horizon painted a perfect sun-colored backdrop for their final photos. There’s something magical about capturing love in a place that feels so connected to the earth, where the beauty of nature amplifies the beauty of the couple in front of the camera.
I’m beyond excited to continue this journey with Alexis and Carson and can’t wait for their wedding! If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is going to be full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
Here's to Alexis and Carson, and the incredible love they share. December can’t come soon enough!
